Become a Knight!

The Knights of Columbus is a powerful force for the Catholic faith.

Did you know that the Knights of Columbus is the world's largest Catholic family fraternal service organization with over 1.8 million members in nearly 15,000 councils? It provides members and their families with volunteer opportunities in service to the Catholic Church, their communities, families and young people.

As a Knight, you have the opportunity to strengthen our parish, give back to the community, grow in your faith and establish life-long bonds with men who are prayerful, honest, and compassionate about life issues and our faith.

Four Core Principles
Charity Our Catholic faith teaches us to "Love thy neighbor as thyself." Members of the Knights of Columbus show love for their neighbors by conducting food drives and donating the food to local soup kitchens and food pantries, by volunteering at Special Olympics, and by supporting, both spiritually and materially, mothers who choose life for their babies. Knights recognize that our mission, and our faith in God, compels us to action. There is no better way to experience love and compassion than by helping those in need, a call we answer every day.
Unity None of us is as good as all of us. Members of the Knights of Columbus all know that - together - we can accomplish far more than any of us could individually. So we stick together...we support one another. That doesn't mean that we always agree or that there is never a difference of opinion. It does mean that - as a Knight of Columbus - you can count on the support and encouragement of your brother Knights as you work to make life better in your parish and community.
Fraternity Blessed Michael J. McGivney founded the Knights of Columbus, in large part, to provide assistance to the widows and children left behind when the family breadwinner died - often prematurely. The Order's top-rated insurance program continues to do this today, as do the good works of individual Knights, who gave more than 75.6 million service hours in 2017, illustrating how Catholics serve each other in fraternity and mercy.
Patriotism Members of the Knights of Columbus, be they Americans, Canadians, Mexicans, Cubans, Filipinos, Poles, or Dominicans, are patriotic citizens. We are proud of our devotion to God and country, and believe in standing up for both. Whether it's in public or private, the Knights remind the world that Catholics support their nations and are amongst the greatest citizens.
Faith in Action Programs
Faith Our goal is to strengthen our men and their families in the faith. When we entered the Order, we were reminded to constantly form ourselves in the Catholic faith. This formation goes beyond mere facts or religious practice to an authentic connection with a loving God and his son Jesus Christ. Programs in this category are designed to draw us closer to God and the Church in a tangible and meaningful way. These programs arm us for the spiritual battle that our men and families face daily.

Faith Programs and activities that we support include:
 Baptismal Rose and Rosary
 Confirmation Medals
 Cor
 Eucharistic Adoration
 Holy Hour
 Faith Program Donations
Family
Catholics often struggle with the reality that they do not have the opportunity to socialize and/or pray with other faith-filled Catholic families. It can be a challenge to continue to ground ourselves and raise our children in the faith.

Our family programs are a response to a society that seeks to weaken the bonds of family. Blessed Michael McGivney's vision for family life was not only financial and material aid but also spiritual strength, as holiness is the calling of all baptized Christians. Put plainly, the majority of our time is easily spent in secular circles unless we intentionally create ways to live the domestic church. These programs help us to live this call.

Family Programs and activities that we support include:
40 Cans in 40 Days Food Drive
 Christmas Cards
 Christmas Poinsettias
 Coffee & Donuts
 Fish For Life
 Intellectual Disability Drive

Community Have you ever wondered, "How can I make my community better?" Individuals can do great things on their own but there is something bigger than self when Knights of Columbus members come together as one through their council and accomplish great things. Councils that conduct these programs are positively shaping their communities by addressing the needs of its citizens.

Community Programs and activities that we support include:
 Blood drive
 Fish Fry
 Oktoberfest

Life The urgency of the threat to a culture of life cannot be misunderstood. Respect for the dignity of life demands a commitment to human rights across a broad spectrum. Both as Knights of Columbus and as followers of Christ, "Catholics must be committed to the defense of life in all its stages and in every condition"
(St. John Paul II, 1995).

Life Programs and activities that we support include:
 Orange Walk for Life
 Special Olympics
 Walking With Dads
